EAMAD Distributor Board

The Pertronic EA Monitored Audio Distribution System features an ecosystem of boards designed to meet the monitoring requirements of AS-4428.16 of fire microphones in fire panels with multiple local and/or remote EA60 and EA120 amplifiers.

Although the boards can function independently (with the exception of the Expansion board [EAMAD-EXP]), they can be combined in different and flexible ways, all within the same system, to support remote, local and zonal audio distribution as well as manually controlled PA, Alerts, Evacuation and Isolate functions.

There are two Monitored Audio Distributor boards; the Main board (EAMAD-MAIN) and the Expansion board (EAMAD-EXP). Both boards are designed to appear to each amplifier as if a real EAMIC microphone is physically connected, that is, the boards mimic the microphone's output. The full range of fault signaling is implemented on each output channel - mic short and open, PTT short and open.

The EAMAD-MAIN provides a monitored connection to four EA series amplifiers and can operate independently to other boards.

The Expansion board (EAMAD-EXP) is a Main board which is partially populated with only the components to provide an additional four output channels. All the Expansion boards are controlled by the Main unit.

• Function: takes one monitored mic (or line-level source), amplifies, and distributes it to multiple EA Series amps. Provides replicated monitoring for both mic capsule and PTT, as per standard requirements
• Audio routing: configurable for local, remote and zonal PA/Emergency mic distribution and monitoring
• Scalability: easily increase the number of audio output channels using the EAMAD-EXP expansion module (board)
• Capacity: each board supports up to 4 EA amplifiers
• Expandability: the maximum number of audio outputs is 14. (1 main unit + 5 expansions) Controls up to 24 EA amplifiers
